Overview Of Our Services
McLean Funeral Director’s is dedicated to celebrating every life with honor and respect, and serving every family with thoughtful care and compassion -just the way we would like to be treated. We are committed to making what is naturally a very difficult time, as stress-free as possible.
Though not a complete list of the services McLean Funeral Directors provides, the following are several available.
When someone dies, grieving family and friends are often faced with making complicated decisions about funeral and memorial ceremonies - all of which must be made quickly and often under great emotional stress. One solution is to make these arrangements ahead of time. Our specially licensed advance planning counselors can discuss and review the options available to you, from Pre-Planning to Pre-Payment. Explore our Pre-planning section for more information.
Funeral customs have changed somewhat in the last few years. It used to be that the "Traditional Funeral" was pretty much the same. A wake or visitation period, which lasted anywhere from one to three days, followed by a church service and burial in the cemetery. Yet today, there is really no such thing as a "Traditional Funeral". People now are choosing funeral services that are more reflective of the person and fit the lifestyle of the family. With more and more ethnic groups living in our area, traditional funerals now incorporate many of the customs and ceremonies of different cultures.
In any given year, McLean Funeral Directors conducts funeral services for Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Jewish, Buddhist and Hindu families, not to mention families that opt for non-religious, humanistic services. Given the diverse group of families that we serve and the different options that we provide, there are many choices available when it comes to a funeral.
McLean’s understands that meaningful cremations do not just happen. They are well thought out ceremonies that demand your focus and your time. Our Life Celebration Tributes make this process less burdensome.
From the most basic cremation needs, to an elaborate ceremony with ten priests, we provide cremation choices that recognize the life of your loved one in the most personal and unique way, by adding value with simplicity of choice.
Every person is unique, and not everyone wants the same type of funeral or ceremony. Some find comfort in family and friends, flowers, and a religious ceremony. Others find comfort in solitude and prefer simple, small private last rites with only close family and intimate friends.
We understand this perfectly and encourage families to make their funeral wishes as personalized and meaningful as possible. We've created a Personalization Services segment of our website so you can see how McLean Funeral Directors can create a lasting tribute made specifically for your loved one.
McLean’s has many years of experience in and knowledge of the requirements needed for transferring your prearrangements from one funeral home to another. Perhaps you’ve relocated or plan to relocate, or perhaps the funeral home you’ve arranged with is no longer your choice to serve your needs. Whatever the reason for the transfer, take assurance in knowing that our qualified staff will gladly assist you – free of charge- with the necessary information and documentation. You can go to our Helpful Forms page to download our Transfer Request Letter.
