Lucille Wilson Pegram, 81, died peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Robin Johnson Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1930 in Cleveland County, the daughter of the late Zora Lee "Zeke" Wilson and Francis Cobb Wilson. Mrs. Pegram assisted her husband, David, in the family business, David Pegram Photography. An avid reader, Mrs. Pegram was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Gastonia.
Mrs. Pegram is survived by her husband of 62 years, David Pegram, Sr.; sons, and daughter-in-law, Ed and Pam Pegram, and David Pegram, Jr.; grandchildren and spouses, Christine and Michael Beaudoin, Jessica and Bill Harvard, Casey and Princess Pegram, Jennifer Pegram, Daniel and Whitney Pegram; six great-grandchildren; sister, Jeannette Tate.
Family and friends are invited to attend the committal service beginning at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. Dr. John L. Frye, Jr. and Pastor John Stanley will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, September 10 at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1621 East Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
