Put your trust in us to make this experience as comfortable and carefree as possible.

Our Philosophy

Today, as most funeral services have been purchased by large corporate companies, we can proudly say that we have remained a family owned and operated funeral service through four generations. We proudly celebrated our 120th Anniversary in 2012!

Our dedicated and experienced staff has over 300 years of combined funeral service experience that ensures each family will have sincere, personal and professional service down to the last detail.

At McLean Funeral Directors, we consider it a privilege to serve this area, and try to give back to our community whenever we can. Many of our staff members are personally involved with various organizations and groups within the community and our funeral home is a proud sponsor of many local programs and charities. Our goal is to support organizations and activities that make our region special and enhance the quality of life for all who live here.

With a beautiful state-of-the-art facility in Gastonia, and a remodeled facility in Belmont, McLean Funeral Directors is the preferred funeral service provider in our region.

To earn an NFDA Pursuit of Excellence Award, a participating funeral home must meet or exceed business standards set forth by the program and demonstrate proficiency in key areas of funeral service, such as compliance with state and federal regulations; providing ongoing education and professional development opportunities for staff; offering outstanding programs and resources to bereaved families; maintaining an active level of involvement within the community; participating and actively serving in the funeral service profession; and promoting funeral home services through a variety of marketing, advertising and public relations programs. Participants are also required to adhere to a Pledge of Ethical Practices.

McLean Funeral Directors voluntary participation in the Pursuit of Excellence Award program reflects a clear determination to exceed the expectations of those they serve,” said NFDA Chief Executive Officer Christine Pepper, CAE. The families we serve are the ultimate recipients of this award".
